Operating System Settings

Depending of the Windows Version installed on each client workstation, System Administrators must modify some System Files to ensure that TriForce XP will run correctly.

Windows 2000 / XP/NT**

· Add or Modify the following lines in

C:\Windows\System32\Config.NT or
C:\WinNT\System32\Config.NT

FILES=225
BUFFERS=40

· Add the following lines at the end of C:\Windows\System.INI
[Network]
PrintBufTime=6

[IFSMGR]
PrintBufTime=6

Windows ME

Add the following lines in file C:\Windows\System.INI

· At the end of [386Enh] section
PerVMFiles=225

· At the end

[Network]
PrintBufTime=6

[IFSMGR]
PrintBufTime=6

Windows 98**

· Add or Modify the following lines in C:\Config.SYS
FILES=225
BUFFERS=40

· Add the following lines at the end of C:\Windows\System.INI

[Network]
PrintBufTime=6

[IFSMGR]
PrintBufTime=6

** These products have limited support with TriForce XP 10. If issues are encountered, it is recommended that the affected workstation be upgraded to Windows XP or Windows 2000. Microsoft also has limited support as per their Product Lifecycle Policy.
